Autocross Issues

Over the past few weeks many people have come to me asking about AutoCross dates. What I have not heard is anyone willing to chair the Autocross. I am more than willing to contact ODS immediately, however, I think that the "racing" members of this club need to step up to the plate here and figure out how to get this chaired.

I hate to put it this way, but someone needs to buck up and work for the team here.

And hopefully...soon!!

I can help, but I am unable to chair. I have a schedule conflict. However, I am willing to loan my truck for transporting the equipment to some of the events.

Besides ...
I thought James Anderson wanted to chair the autocross -- he knows the equipment and is really good about being ontime and organizing the races. ... and in talking to James' wife the other night I think she wants to show him how to drive an autocross.

I think we need to figure this out quickly otherwise ODU will find something else to do with the track time.

Maybe hard to fill Mike's shoes,and yes Mike you did GGGREAT job hat's off to you, and are you going to do Spook Mike or take a rest.

James is the Vice President, and has his own requirements for that position to fulfill. And those duties will be expanded from the role I had last year, just based on the directions we're running.

All the autocross chairperson "HAS" to do is make sure the equipment is taken care of, setup, tore down, points are handled with Andre, etc. He DOES NOT have to BE the person to do this, just to make sure he's got someone who will be available to do it for the different events. So there are no real excuses for anyone not already chairing a position to not do this. You dont even have to BE at the event, just make sure someone will be there to handle it for the day..and there never has been a shortage within this club of people willing to help.

Anyways, Paul has stepped up and will be taking over Autocross, so my thanks to him for doing so. We'll be getting ahold of Steve as soon as possible :)
