View Full Version : Any interest (or plans) for another Hopsfrog Cruise this fall??
As I sit here with my laptop looking out into the dreary rain, I was thinking about Sunday brunch [:-?]
I know our last Hopsfrog Cruise (the Mississippi route) was a great one, the rain and road washouts were not [8-}]
That said, any interest in doing this once again, before the cold season???
Maybe in Mid-Oct. or Mid-Nov. [:-/]
Thoughts?????? [B-)]

The 12th is on the tail end of Veterans Day weekend - Day is November 11, 2006 (observed on November 10) [B-)]
Would that fit in???

Can you do November 5th by any chance? Would probably get more people/participation earlier in the month due to weather and holidays (V-Day, Thanksgiving)....

Back by popular demand...the Hopsfrog Brunch Cruise...the last one of the 2006 season!
WHEN: Sunday, November 5th, 2006
9:45 AM - arrival at cruise start point (Giant Food/Sunoco parking lot at the intersection of Route 123 and Palmer Drive - aka Shops at Lorton Valley)
10:00 AM - quick driver's meeting/map hand-outs
10:10 AM - depart for cruise
11:00 AM - arrive at Hopsfrog Tavern for brunch
Hopsfrog Tavern's Sunday Brunch is $12.95 + drink + tax + tip.
Please bring CASH - $18.00 per person - exact change only!

Directions to the cruise start point: For ease of egress, this time we will be meeting at the Giant Food/Sunoco parking lot at the intersection of Route 123 and Palmer Drive (Shops at Lorton Valley). From 7100 (Ffx Cty Pkwy) take the Route 123 south exit and pass the Burke Lake Golf Course and Park and continue toward Lorton. The Shops at Lorton Valley will be on your left, Palmer Drive is to the right.
Or, if you wish to attend brunch only, directions to Hopsfrog are as follows:
From I-495 - Take the Braddock Exit (Ext. 5 - Rt. 620 West)
Go approx. 5 miles to Rt. 123 (Ox Rd.)
Turn left on Burke Centre Parkway (approx. 1/2 mile)
Hopsfrog Tavern is on left (hard to miss!)

I'm in. I had a one-man cruise down there last Sunday as I had a desire for the Hopsfrog brunch. Surprised me that the guy cooking the omelets remembered me, or rather my Lingenfelter coupe, and asked about it. As I wasn't wearing any Corvette memorabilia I was definitely surprised that he remembered and asked where the rest of the crowd was.

Agreed, great turn out and a lot of fun. We will definitely do this again in the spring.
Although the dry runs are just as much, if not a little more fun IMO - no train of people in front of ya, can go as fast as you want to (or are willing to go)... [B-)] [>:)]

I enjoyed the day too...ate way too much though [:p]
Also a few Vettes showed up at the NVMC event...we were outnumbered at least 12 to 1 but that is OK...LilRed and MR BLU were in good company...
