Closed the old thread and here's the new info:
Michael Rierson, a relatively new member of the NVCC, has worked on a great weekend outing for our club. He has been working with National Road Autosport on having a 'something for everyone' weekend, to include an autocross, rallye or road tour, lodging, and many social activities.

August 19-20, 2006
Book your room at Town Hill Inn now! Only 20 rooms available.
Here is a great opportunity to enjoy the mountains of Western Maryland, join the National Road AutoSport Autocross event in Cumberland, and be with other club members at the beautifully restored Town Hill Inn (go to www.townhillbnb.com). Call Town Hill directly at 301-478-2794 to make your room reservations. Arrive at Town Hill on Saturday morning, settle into your room, meet fellow club members and make several decisions as to your day's activities:
Take a spirited 'through the mountains' drive to Falling Water (Frank Lloyd Wright house located in Pennsylvania, go to http://www.paconserve.org/index-fw1.asp) Tour the house and enjoy a lunch at their cafe. Driving route from Town Hill to Falling Water will be provided by the National Road AutoSport folks. (Cost of admission and lunch is on your own.) And/or add to your day, go to Cumberland Maryland and enjoy walking around in the Historic District (go to http://www.cr.nps.gov/nr/travel/cumberland/intro.htm)
Or, for those golfers in the club, go to the world class Rocky Gap GC (go to http://www.rockygapresort.com/golf/index.cfm)
And the Saturday finale, arrive at 6 pm for a Corvette heaven visit to Dr. Michael McCagh's beautiful 270 acre farm/estate, where he has a collection of over 40 Corvettes, many of which are national award winners (his 1961 is a Duntov award recipient.) Further details coming.
At around 7:30 pm return to Town Hill (about 5 mile drive) and get ready for a full dinner at their recently renovated restaurant.
Sunday is AutoX Day!! We will be joining the National Road AutoSport 2006 Cumberland Airport Summer Sizzler Autocross. NRA makes arrangement with FedEx to close the FedEx airfield for the day and imagine width and length of runways for the course. Lots of fun and talk about run off! Everyone gets a least 5 runs (maybe 6) and our session is scheduled for 11 a.m. (Fill in Summer Sizzler application and mail with $30 check directly to National Road AutoSport).
Submit as soon as possible so we can get a head count! DO NOT opt for the picnic since we will be having dinner at the Town Hill Inn that evening. For those who will NOT being doing the autocross you can do some of the things that Saturday offered (except the McCagh Farm visit) or just drive in the mountains of Western Maryland.
Costs for the event:
Saturday night lodging, dinner and Sunday breakfast: $93 PP based on double occupancy.
If you want to stay Friday night as well and have a Saturday breakfast included the price is $170 PP.
Sunday Autocross: $30
