As I sit in my pajamas writing this, I cannot help but heave a sigh of relief that the day is now over. Months of planning and stress and worry have thankfully come to a close.

However, I am also left with a great feeling of pride from the fine job everyone in the club did with this show. Whether it was making sure the club trailer was displayed at Koons, judging/teching/classifying and staging cars, registering entrants, taking photos, tabulating results, selling T-shirts and raffle tickets, publicizing the show, soliciting companies for door prizes, calling out raffle ticket numbers, handing out goodie bags, or lending a hand in general...it got done, and done without complaint. Thank you all for your hard work and enduring some tense moments. Shows like these do not get pulled off without people like you.

Once again Koons extended their hospitality to us in hosting the show at their facility. I cannot thank enough our primary sponsor, Koons, for their generous support. Carl Leckner, GM of Koons, was thrilled to host the show for the second year in a row. Without a doubt, I am eternally grateful for his help with the show. Also a big thanks to the tons of businesses who donated door prizes to our event. We had even bigger and better prizes this year!

Seeing people happy and enjoying themselves are what makes a show like this worth all the work. One of the best moments for me was awarding the Best In Show trophy to a car that had a perfect judging score of 100 points. That does not happen everyday...we have some tough judges! By doing this show, not only do we publicize ourselves by showing everyone who we are and what we do, we also support Koons and a fine charity such as Special Olympics.

As I close out the show within the next few weeks, ordering and sending out class plaques, finishing up the financials, and completing final paperwork, I hope that all of you know that your individual contributions to this effort are greatly appreciated...and that in the future, more club members will participate, even if it is just paying to put a car into the Exhibition class. Your support is appreciated and needed!

Take care, and thanks again for a wonderful job.

With Love,
Laurie

I agree with everything Laurie wrote about the Concours! It was another excellent event and all should be proud of their efforts: tech, judging, classification, registration, tabulators, photo (did I miss anyone?) and especially the competitors.
Thanks to all!
