Jim,
I'm getting ready to order some numbers for the driving schools. I can order some extra for spook. I'm getting 7-1/2" vinal numbers for $1.79 a dozen! I'm going to fill a box up. [;)]
My entry will be in as soon as registration is open. How about letting us know the source of the 7 1/2 " numbers. I would like to pick up some for other events, that is a great price !!!

What is SPOOKTACULAR?
Each year for the last 12 years NVCC has applied for and received multiple NCCC sanctions to host HIGH SPEED events at a racing facility. Entrants must have a current NCCC High Speed license to participate in the driving part. NO license is required to participate in the FUN part.
Action begins on Friday night in West Virginia motel where we have "refreshments" and tech inspection under the lights! A LOT of bench racing takes place!
Saturday morning dawns WAYY too early with the track at Summit Point (this year we are using the Jefferson Circuit) opening at 6:30am. More inspections, drivers meeting, parade lap and timings begin hopefully by 9am. The format is 7 events on Saturday and 7 on Sunday. The format for an event is a flying lap at speed on the track, each event, each driver gets 2 runs, fastest of the 2 is the scored time for the event.
Saturday after the events are done NVCC hosts a buffet barbeque at the track for the workers and anyone else who wants to stick around.
This is usually the closing NVCC racing event each year and draws 50 to 70 entries from as far away as Florida and Ohio. WIth 14 NCCC points events in one weekend, near the end of the year it always draws national competitors seeking points.
If you ask anyone who has participated as a driver or a worker universally they will tell you this is a great time.
Details and registration to be posted soon!

Jim,
Are you chairing the event this year? It looks like Andrej is going to be in the woods alot this year beings it's so dry out there. [:(]

Good question George. As you know I have been Andrej's co-chair the last couple of years with Andrej doing all the work and me just asking what I can do to help. I know he has the sanctions for the event approved and I just want to jump in and help. If Andrej wants me to chair, I will but I would like to hear from him.
I just wanted to get some information out. I have a flyer ready to go whenever anyone gives me the go! [:D]

The date has been reserved on my track schedule since the beginning of the season. I'm just waiting on the registration to be opened.
So... Is the website going to be ready to do on-line registrations this year? [:))]

The 17th has a link already posted and I started a thread for the 11th. Are you going to either one Jim? The 17th is starting to fill so you need to get registered if you are. [;)] I haven't found anyone that wants to go up next week. Erica & I want to go but really don't want to go all the way up there with just the two of us.

Well, to whomever is starting the worker bee list please list Don and I, and my nephew and wife, Dave and Barb Corp, as corner workers. They come down from Michigan to work because they have so much fun!! [:))]

JIM after that description, there is no doubt you can handle the chairmanship....you've seen it all over the years. Most know the format, no surprises. It's all about paperwork. And good workers- which you already have lined up. [=D>]

Ditto what mike said. My daughter gets married the following weekend so I'll be in the NOVA area from late on Sep 29 driving home on Oct 8. If anyone wants to plan something for Mon - Thurs after spook I can be there.
I just realized I need to find my high speed license.
Brian or Andre - I think it expires this year, so far I've had 2 days at Road Atlanta with NASA, 1 day with NVCC, and I'm going to Beaver Run this weekend for two days with NASA. Probably will get in at least one more two day event before spook. That should cover me for renewal.

JIM you are right- you EXPIRED 2-25-06. [:((] Your list of accomplishments will re-qualify you.... Howver upon looking up your membership- I do not see you renewed for 2006. Is this an oversight?
For eveyone's info, (including yours) you can view your status here---------------> High Speed (http://ernccc.org/comp/points/Doc_points/hs.pdf)
Look at the exp date, not the column that says OK or EXPIRE. THeres been a lapse of this column being updated.
