Springpalooza '06 is a spring carnival sponsored by the Fort Belvoir Elementary School PTA.
They are looking for a car club that will be set up in front of the school. This is another great opportunity for us to show who we are. There will be about 300 people in attendance.
The event itself is from 11AM-2PM (excluding travel time) on Saturday, April 1st, 2006 at the Fort Belvoir Elementary School Cafeteria & Gym. I will need as many club members to come out as possible to make a good showing for the club.
***UPDATED INFO:
-Lunch being provided is confirmed :) We will be getting food tickets at the event.
-We need to arrive NLT 10:30 AM. We shall meet at the Burke Lake Park Golf Course Parking Lot, located at the intersection of Route 123 (Ox Road) and Canterberry Road in Fairfax Station, Virginia, 22039 at 9:00 AM, with a brief drivers' meeting at 9:15 AM, and departing promptly at 9:30 AM.
-We can display the club banner...Joe Daly will bring
-There will be a talent show/games/moonbounce/etc...
-WE STILL NEED MORE CARS! Only have 17 signed up, could use up to 30. It's only a few hours out of the day, please sign up if you can.
[b]IMPORTANT! Achtung!
-Each driver will be required to stop at the Visitor Center to get a vehicle pass. You'll need your drivers license, registration, and proof of insurance. It would help expedite the process we can get our POC on Ft Belvoir to provide a list of cars and drivers to the Visitor Center prior to our arrival. Please register by COB 3/23 (no exceptions!) so I can attempt to arrange this. To get several cars thru this process will take some time. You MUST email your full name and license plate number to lilredcorvette94@yahoo.com in order to register. I need the info regardless of whether or not you possess a current DoD decal (those who have them WILL be able to go on through and not be subject to the non-DoD check-in process).
-DO NOT SPEED on Ft. Belvoir! No matter what the posted speed limit is, do not go over. The Military Police enforce the speed limit.
-DO NOT TALK ON A CELL PHONE, unless it is a hands free unit, while driving on Ft. Belvoir! This is a violation that will get you a ticket.
-Your vehicle is subject to search at any time while on Ft. Belvoir. This is usually conducted while going through a gate. The security personnel will randomly pull a vehicle over and search it before allowing you to enter the Post.***
Register on the event posting, post here, or email me if you wish to be in this cruise-in and show.
