This will be the CorvetteForum.com Southeast Region's Fifth Gala Spring Party at the beautiful Waterside Market Place on the waterfront in downtown Norfolk.

Time to dust off the cob webs and ditch the cabin fever!

For those unfamiliar with the event details, please see the event flyer and registration form shown in this CorvetteForum.com thread:

Waterside Thread (http://forums.corvetteforum.com/showthread.php?t=1282110&forum_id=42)

There are great hotels, restaurants and other attractions in the vicinity of Waterside. Last year a lot of folks came early and spent the weekend. Visit http://www.watersidemarketplace.com to learn more!

Their goal is to have everyone PREREGISTERED. The nature of the ingress to Wateride and the parking works best if everyone is preregistered. Last year attendance was limited to the first 120 cars registered, this year, with the cooperation of the city, the limit will be raised to 150 cars.

When your registration is received, you will get a packet of additional information, directions and dash display card.

Please register early to get a prized parking/display space. Spaces are assigned based on order the registrations are received. There really are no bad spots, but the prime waterfront spaces go early.

Who wants to go? [:-/]

Laurie, sorry I wasn't listening... [:D] Seriously, it sounds like fun! I'll register soonest! Irene and I will stay the weekend. We'll look for a Marriott property since we're members.
thanks! Jerry

I would point out that the Portsmouth Old Towne Holiday Inn has a special rate ($60 for a single or double) for that period and is setting up a hospitality suite for Corvette owners on Friday. Since I have already registered for both the hotel and the show I will be heading down at approximately 3:30 pm on the 24th.

Due to some problems with space that have just come up, the car limit has been dropped to 120.

I think as of now there are about 90 cars registered so if you want in on it, I suggest you send in your registration soon.

As of yesterday (2/17) they have filled 96 of the 120 available, according to the event manager.

As of a few hours ago all 120 slots have been filled, although there will be plenty of parking across the street for those who wish to drive down and want to mingle.

Yep, it's full. With my life being in kind of an upheaval right now, if I go, I might just drive down, mingle, and come back...or skip it completely.

Don't forget to share pics!
