Speaking of toilets...anyone else notice one sitting right next to the white cove? [:))]
Sorry...didn't mean to make light of a really bad situation...but it just struck me funny after you made that remark, G-man!

Yeah I'm sorry I made light of it too. I just figured if you can't laugh about something like this, then you'll cry. The porceline remains is what sparked my little "joke". Man I should be writing for Letterman with material like this [:D]

That would make a nice race car, lil red...
Perhaps the sum of the parts will be greater than the whole [:-/]
How ironic that it survived on this earth for 45 years and was done in not by an accident or a thief, but a hurricane [:((]
I wonder if it was in the same area in 1969 and withstood Camille [:-?]

Look at all the vintage events you could enter once you got your competition license. [B-)]

Granted there's body damage, but it doesn't look like the frame is twisted. Am I being optimistic, or is this car salvagable? Considering the age, model and classic status, I would think someone could restore this...

Considering it has been through a hurricane, there is probably water damage, too. All the electrical, interior, etc would have to be replaced. I would guess that most ins comps would total this thing. That would be a shame in my opinion to not restore this piece of history...
Doable...but a lot of time, $, and patience I would imagine.

Its salvagable but it'll cost you a fortune to have someone else do the labor and if you DIY, the parts will be $$$$ as George found out when he did his C3 and Collin found out with his C2.
At least with a track car everything would be replaced or stripped anyway. [:D]

My thoughts exactly. Any restoration is $$$$, so that's a given. If the insurance does total it, that money could be used to begin restoring it. Needless to say we can't tell the extent of the damage as the roof is planted in cement, but it would be heartbreaking to just tow it to a compactor. [:-s]

Let's just hope this family survived and they love Corvettes as much as we do. We'd all go back to find it!!!
