Anyone going? (See http://www.carguysinc.com/index.html )

Space is still open and I'm severely thinking about doing it for the two day special of $475 on Sat & Sun, even at this late date. [=P~]

Would still need to have some place tech my car (i.e. Cooper Corvettes or the like).

Oh why didn't I know about this earlier?! I know...too much work on the brain! [:p]

I'm registered for this event. I'll drive down I -81, leaving Winchester about 5 PM on Friday.
If you talk to Aryan @ Car Guys, he will work with you personally to make it happen.
Don't worry about getting a tech inspection in NOVA. If your car passes state inspection, you will have the tech inspection at the track.
From the other forum, I see 3-4 other Vettes signed up. No better way to spend the weekend (or $435...by the way, you'll get a 10% CF discount.)

Called this morning and faxed in my application for the two days (13 & 14 Aug). Waiting on him to fax me back some additional info. Will try and get the car tech'd this afternoon @ Cooper Corvettes. Have reservations @ the Comfort Inn (the Viper Days host hotel) for $60/night before taxes. Will probably arrive around 11:00 pm Friday night.

This will be the engine's first stressfull outing post it's birth @ MTI Racing. Hope I don't bust anything! [:-$]

Sorry. Got so wrapped up with an old acquaintence from GA ([b]green group; red C6 #206 w/ white tape on the wheel wells) that I forgot to look you up.

I was #84 in the yellow yellow group, the Mag Red C5 coupe w/ Z06 wheels and orange painters tape on the wheel wells.

Weekend sure was a blast. [:p] Wish my instructor had solo'd me earlier than he did, but what the hey...he was basically a passenger from Sat afternoon onwards. [\:D/] (I wanted to shoot more video than I did and couldn't do it for most of the weekend w/ a passenger in the car. [:(] )

Learned for the last time to keep the ASR off and just have it in competative mode. Doing an ASR shimmy @ 135 mph on the back stretch going over the hump taught me that. [;)]

A few more sessions on my GY SCs and they'll be toast. Now to start thinking about some no-kidding track tires. Gotta figure out what kind though, because I don't trailer my 'Vette to the track.

Later!
