Creating a HPDE Section on the NVCC webpage

Can a section be created for HPDE on our NVCC website - using the same format as the Rallye, Concours and Autocross? Here are a few links I collected:

In addition to the links above - we should create a table that contains member names that participate in HPDEs, which HPDE level they're in, and whether they have a HS license. Great way to show who our instructors are too!

A member could post an "in car track video" for "Track Video of the Month!" to show the rest of the NVCC membership what its like on a particular track - kinda wet their appetite to participate in future events.

Along with each link for the various tracks we'll go to - we can include a link to a track diagram so people can review the track layout before attending an HPDE.

Ralph has a MS Word document "Track Checklist" for what one should bring to the track - very useful.

A link to the Corvette Forum Autocross & Roadracing section would be helpful too since its relevant to all types of vettes, etc. from beginner to advance:

You are right, Mike, we don't want to discourage this kind of energy because it is how things get done.

Everyone should know the prozac comment was just a joke. The drug of choice for mania is lithium.

Ralph, Jack and I are signed up for BeaveRun. Have you had a chance to get signed up yet? We signed up HPDE4 paid (non-instructing) since we didn't get any word back from Lawrence.

I'm hoping we didn't make a mistake and get into the Time Trials stuff by registering for HPDE4. I'm not sure how they do their stuff up there.

We need to talk you into going to one of the Instructor Clinics that NASA holds. Jack went to the one at VIR in July. We talked to Chris Cobetto about getting one up here at Summit.

I drafted a webpage format for the information we're placing on the new HPDE section that's simple and a work in progress.

I'm trying to find a few graphics, etc. What do you guys think? Might be a cool place to post some track pics, event comments/observations, etc. [B-)]

Brad, can you copy the webpage I drafted from my link to the NVCC site, along with the vette background? Does anyone have in-car track video to post? I will have a track video to post after the NASA event at Summit Point in late September! There are now videos at the three links provided as examples. Thanks!

NOTE: I believe Andrej would be the one to provide the official list of who is at what HPDE level and HS license status.

I registered for HPDE 4 as well. I think that is the only group that allows open passing in NASA-OH. You remember how it was at MidOhio. I'll take my chances; not concerned if I'm on the track with racers or time trials. I'll be the one without the transponder.
I think NASA-MA will sign me off as group 4 as well, since I passed the chief instructor in the last session. He remembers me.

Is it possible to start a section in the forum under the racing section for HPDE? It has seemed to become it's own emnity as of late. It would allow us to have open forums about the schools without interfearing with the other sections in racing.

Great idea having an HPDE discussion thread under the racing section.

It'll be fun to see members listed in their respective HPDE levels and watch people progress to "track rat" status [:D] and new drivers entering the HPDE process.

I think Ralph and a few others had some MS Word documents (HPDE/Track Prep Checklist) that would be good to add too!

You should round up the guys and come to Putnum OCT 8th & 9TH for NASA. I know it's a little further than other tracks, but it would be good to see you guys since I can not make SPOOKTACULAR.
