I'll keep the ToDo List relatively short and limit it to last minute details. Anyone wishing a more comprehensive list just leave a response.
Drink lots of water the day before
Drink lots of water at the track (you won't believe how dry your mouth gets)
Get a good night's sleep the night before
Eat a hearty breakfast and bring a snack
Top off all fluids (gas, antifreeze, brake fluid, oil, P/S fluid)
Check tire pressures (before going on track and after each session) 32-34psi is a good starting point depending...
We can add to the list as other things come up...
FINALLY the most important ToDos....
Remember this is all about learning... about yourself and your car
Have fun! For most of us this is the most fun you can have legally
Be Safe, Be Courteous, Bring you and your car home safe and sound
Check your EGO at the main gate when signing the release
(see items 1-4 above)[/list=1]
Here is a list of things you may wish to bring.

Mkay, I have about half that stuff. Will people be sharing in case of an emergency or are we SOL if something happens? I have all my spare fluids, an extra serp belt lying around, brake pads, driving suit/shoes/helmet, shop manual, personal items (of course) but that's about it.
I certainly don't have the camping gear, and wouldn't be camping out the night before anyway [:))] And being the first time of ever doing this, no log book either. What can we use for that? Or will we be getting one??? Please advise...

[:))] That is DEFINITELY an all inclusive list... Its actually what Ralph and I use to pack for a weekend at the track. Of course we have a tow vehicle and a trailer to carry it all in also [:D]
I've never been to an event where the people there didn't bend over backwards to help out if they could, whether its turning a wrench or lending one.
The newbie's really only need to worry about the small things for now. A quart of oil and the personal items should just about cover it.
A log sheet will be provided for this event. If a student has one from a different organization, they should bring it with them. It will give their instructor an idea where to concentrate to give the student the biggest chance for improvement.

Thanks for the info [:)] Yeah, I thought that was a pretty comprehensive list [:))] I know you guys have camped out at the tracks before and have the storage to put it in. I'm still trying to figure out how to fit my suit/shoes/toiletries/brake fluid and pads/coolant/water wetter/oil/etc into one bag...[8-}]

You can say that again. [:))] I think Spook cost me $700 total (entry fees, hotel, needed parts, oil...)

MIKE you are the most INCLUSIVE guy I ever met! [:D]
Good job on the list. I also agree, that anything one may forget, is readily available from ANY of us at the track. Call it your EXTENDED family if you will, but by in large, I have found that most are eager to lend a hand to whatever extent it takes!
And Laurie: My expenses are compounded by me having to order 25 extra SPOOK shirts with my name on them [:p]
Hope SANTA brings everyone something nice for their special car!
