Lil' Red, Thanks for posting this - it is sure to be a fun Sunday drive through the outskirts of Clifton, maybe even through town [;)]
C2Washington, Lil Red, and myself will "scout out" the route tomorrow and verify the flow of the route and ensure it fits the window of time allowed.
From that, a map will be made and distributed at the kickoff point - see you then [B-)]

Please RSVP for this as It will also help with how many maps to print [:-?]

A few of us ran the route yesterday and had a BLAST!!! [B-)]

With a few tweaks to the planned route, we will have a great drive, running about 1/2 hr. in total.

FYI - We will be meeting at the GOLF COURSE PARKING LOT for the Kickoff - the lot is large enough for 60 cars+ and has a traffic light to help control our exit during our departure [>:)]

Please remember to RSVP - See ya' there [:D]

I gotta admit Chris, I was a little disappointed when I came around the corner at the starting point and you were in an SUV. But, boy can that bus roll!! I was amazed at how you were zipping around corners like it was nothing! The fact that your daughter slept through it was doubly impressive. You must have done something to that suspension, right?

I knew it. There's no way a stock saloon could have two vette's and a 600RR behind it and still make it fun for the trailers. You know, we should probably retest once the final map is complete. [:D]

ok, now i'm getting greedy [:))]

Yes, that is correct - some of the roads are part of the most scenic, yet demanding curvy roads you will find in the area [>:)]

30 minutes is a great timeline - leaves plenty of time to eat [:D]

Hope to see you there [B-)]

Trust me, that 30 minutes is an action-packed one. Most definitely a two-hands-on-the-steering wheel course. A very spirited drive that'll work up a good appetite for brunch...

Good food...twisties...[B-)] vettes...what more can one ask for? [:D]

Since I'll prob be doing this solo (hub doesn't believe in getting out of bed prior to 1 PM on a weekend), I can pummel you myself. But thanks for the compliment despite its lack of truth! [:">]

Lucky for you Woodsie isn't a big 'cruiser'. If it's not on the big track, he ain't interested. [:))]

Since 89x2 came up with the cruise route, he should lead, you behind (being the brunch planner), Ms. Social Director, and then the balance. As far as the fast cars in front, slower vehicles to the rear, I hope people will follow suit. Non-vette policy has always been tailgunner position.

Looks like we have quite a nice number of cars, looking forward to seeing everyone on Sunday! [B-)]

DON'T FORGET YOUR FAMILY RADIOS, or you'll miss out on the trash-talking fun. J/K, it helps keep everybody together. [:)]

That and it's also great for bogey warnings [:))] Unfortunately, Chris, Dan and I know this all too well from the last cruise...

Participation is strictly voluntary - and at one's own risk, simple enough??

Maybe two more might show :) where is the golf course?

The Golf Course parking lot is 1 block South of Burke Lake Road on Rt. 123 (Ox Rd.)

If you come down the Fairfax Parkway from the North, take the 123 exit for Ox rd. and make a Left at the end of the ramp, and head about 1.5 miles down the road (South) and the park is on the Left.

If you are coming from Springfield, and coming up the FFX Pkwy, make a Left at the intersection for Burke Lake rd. and go about 1 mile to the light for Rt. 123 - make a left at the light and go 1 block on the Left at the next light - There is the golf course -

See ya there! [B-)]

Very well done, Chris and Dan...hopefully we can make this run a tradition, very cool. Thanks again!

A lot of people remarked on how nice the route was and how good the food was at Hopsfrog. Awesome!

BTW, on the way home I partially ran the route again...3rd time...Popes Head Road to Clifton Road back to Centreville, nice drive!

I need a shower and a nap... [:(]

Thanks to everyone for making this such a big hit. Expecially Laurie for all of her paperwork and organization, Chris for selecting an excellent route and the general enthusiasm of everyone who made it. I've had serveral people suggest this as a monthly staple. Perhaps two groups might be better for the future. One trying to keep up with Chris and another appreciating the amazing scenery.

I was pleasently surpised at the C4 turnout. You guys rock!

Thanks. No clue what LilRed's problem was, since I had just put more coolant, water, and water wetter in her within the last 2 weeks, but man she was up to 240* and hesitating real bad. [:(] New water pump in her so that wasn't it, plus new plugs/wires so it wasn't a misfire.

Starting to worry...15 days till HPDE. [[[-o<]
