Well, despite being the only one from our club to attend, the NVMC Test and Tune today was a blast. Made a total of 32 runs...definitely my money's worth!

Best 1/4 mile was 13.796, best R/T was .072, top speed was 99.96. Not too bad for a first-time n00b...and at least I know what I need to work on for the next one! I will keep my cruddy time slips to myself...[:-"]

Despite it being just a test/tune, it felt good to 'beat' at least a few cars in the opposite lane. [B-)] Otherwise I would have felt like a complete dork.

Looking forward to the next one...and hopefully some NVCCers will come out as well.

Yep. That's 8 very hard miles. Congrats. Those are fast times. And since it sounded as if it was your first time on the strip, it's a cinch that your gonna be in the '100 Club' (with runs at 99.96).

Oh, there were people well into that 100 club, and I suppose that if I played around with the shifting a little bit more, I could have gotten higher speeds, but for my first time I'm happy with how I did. Besides, it just is for fun...

More important generally are your 1/4 mile times, and I'm quite happy to be in the '13 second club' on my first ever drag event [:)]

It's 1:30 PM and I am still in PJs...and considering going back to bed again! I can't believe how wiped out I am....

If you had fun in 13.7 seconds going in straight line. Then you in for a real treat going left, right, brake, gas.....for a 25 minute session at Summit. [B-)]
