Members of NVCC. Please make sure that when you change your e-mail, phone, and adresses that you let Judy know of the changes so that she can update hers membership files. I had several people ask why they didn't receive a e-mail about the dinner cruise, and come to find out they had changed e-mail addresses. It is also important for the new members to also get her the information too. Please spread the word to others that may not look at the forum. Have a nice day! [:)]

Is it possible to build into the website an automatic notification process to key individuals when user information (address, email) is updated?
This capability is built into several other forums that I frequent.
Just a thought.... [:D]

Excellent point. [:)] You would think people would remember to update their information as soon as they change an e-mail addy/phone #/mailing addy/etc..., but I think 'life happens' and people forget. Good deal!

That's an idea...what do people think, and can it be done? Jeff, if you could PM Brad about this thread and/or re-post it to the website suggestions/comments section, you might get a swifter response. [B-)]

I was just responding to George's post but I did send Brad a PM with the suggestion and then referenced this thread.

Members should login to the members section of the website to change their info. The only notification that would need to go out would be for Judy, who would need to update the mailing list. (Hopefully this will not be needed anymore soon).

It can be done, but there are issues that need to be resolved first. The forum is not where the membership information is pulled from. Also, synchronizing data between the two is not possible at this time because there is no mapping to let the system know that the "Brad Sneade" member is "bsneade" on the forum. I don't think it would be a good idea anyways because the forum is a public place, and some members may not be appreciative of having their address (and any other data that is in the membership database) publicized on the forum.

I know that you were just responding to George's post, but thought that communicating with Brad as well would be a good idea. I see that he's on this now, so that's good. Always looking to improve...[B-)]

Brad,
you're fine, and I agree that we err on the side of being conservative.
