If anyone is interested in learning more about a defensive driving program for teens ... check out www.driversedge.com, they are and organization from the west that travel to different centers to put on this course. They are holding their course this weekend at FedEx Field. I had tried to register my daughter for the course months ago, but it was all filled up. Late last night we received a call that they had a cancellation so had room for Dana to attend.
She is scheduled to attend on Sunday morning at 8am.

If anyone has the time to go and check Drivers Edge out at FedEx Field this weekend they could provide some helpful information in the event that we may decide to help out some young drivers in the future.

I just got back from instructing for the Porsche Club autocross school at Ripken Stadium. The one that Ralph put out a call for instructors a couple of weeks ago.

Miriam the head instructor also does a defense driving class for teens. She will also be doing the classroom instruction for our HPDE in June.

I'm hoping to pick her brain for more info for the teen program as well.

The biggest problem is that we need a place to hold it first.

Mike,

One of the things we're doing on the council end, is improving some relationships, or trying to, at least. WMAL is interested in coming out to the HPDE event and doing a story....hopefully we can get them talking about the club, and get them on our team with regards to holding the school you're talking about.

That's one of the reasons that I instructed at this event. {Of course it would have been better if we could have had a few more people there.}

Also I meant a couple of corvette owners that didn't know about NVCC. I directed them to the website so they may come out to a club meeting.
