Ok I am going the entire route of an NCRS person. Bought a 20 foot enclosed trailer, thanks to Mike managed to get it to the storage area in West Virginia a couple of weeks ago, Its a Haulmark, 20 Foot Black Tandem Enclosed Trailer.
Got a call from Sterling Chevy Friday, my truck will arrive this week. I ordered a 2005 Silverado 2500 HD, LT, 4X4 Club Cab, Diesel. Deep Metelic Red with saddle interior, Loaded with heavy duty diesel package and towing package. Satellite Radio, full leather, a Cowboy Cadillac.
Sold my Trailblazer a several weeks ago, ordered this in February. So, I am on the edge of me seat.
Mike Saver has been helping me along, and I am sure Mike will be there when I try to connect this beast to the trailer.
Its pretty exciting...BTW..update on 63....pulled engine and had block sent out...had a major engine failure in Janurary, so need to get the block rebored. Getting it sleeved and going back to stock pistons. Having the entire engine rebuilt AGAIN...this time doing it right. It will have the solid lifter and of Dantof (sp) cam...
Just got the correct distributor, rotor cap, fuel filter, AM Wonderbar radio, coil, and starter, all dated to the car build date. I needed this for NCRS Competition. I hope to go to the Mid Atlantic Regional in Williamsburg, VA in late May, and get the car judged for the first time. I am hoping to get at least third flight and if God willing second flight.
I have gone over the entire suspension system replacing the main rear leaf springs, with orginal 63 springs from Eaton Spring Company, makers of the original springs, and MANY other items on the bottom of the car.
So since the car has returned from the body/paint shop it spent about 20 days in my garage and now is up in Maryland getting MORE work done. It will be a new VETTE by the time I am finished.
Do I regret it...not one day. As you all know this is my dream car and its just about the best thing I have ever done....
Here is a photo that I took in January...enjoy....if NVCC has Concours this year..you can bet I will be there if possible.....I miss all of you guys....but with work I am hardly in town....traveling down south now....

Its coming along fine...,also have been tracing history of car back. I have it traced all the way back to 1972...talked to several owners and I could write a book on the car and what its history is...I have photos of the car back in 1978 and 1982...at one time car was dark blue almost black with a saddle interior...other times it was light blue with a dark blue interior....
I am loving doing this but have to confess after about three years will feel much better when its almost completed.
I will keep you all updated as I go along ... [:D]
