I mentioned in the meeting last night that I didn't know where the Private Message (PM) menu option is.

It turns out that it is under "My Profile". Click on "My Private Message" and you will have a email-type interface for sending / recieving private messages.

Is there a way that we can have it so that it alerts you if you have a PM? Kinda like it does in CorvetteForum.com...it shows in the upper right hand corner of the screen:

Welcome, LilRedCorvette94.

You last visited: Today at 10:44 AM
Private Messages: 1 Unread, Total 47.

Otherwise it's buried under your profile with no alert system. Thougths?

When you have a new message it shows up next to the "Welcome MemberName" above the search field.

I'm not seeing it on the Welcome line but when I go to My Profile / My Private Message I found it.

When going into "My Private Message" page, I saw that I had a PM...but I did NOT receive an alert next to where it says "Welcome, membername". That's the alert that I was talking about above that we need to have working.

If you didn't tell me I had a PM I would never have known. Kinda defeats the purpose of the whole thing!

I want to see if mine works.
When I send myself a message it notifies me by the welcome message.

Brad I sent you a PM but I think I've got it figured out. It is working for me now but only because I was logged out.

If you are logged in when the PM comes in the notification doesn't show up.
