Are the 'one lap' video's working or is it just the office blocking
everything interesting again?

Gonna hafta pass on this one and had to pass on the February NASA event (VIR) [:((] I need a rear tire, haven't even had a chance to do the bushings project yet and money has been tight. I don't even have my car back yet from the hit and run incident. [:(]

I'm waiting for the next VIR full course event to open registration and will try to sign up for that, funds permitting. I am definitely gonna do the club HPDE at Jefferson and Spook. If I can afford it, I will try to get in a Watkins Glen event also, but we'll see.

It looks like an interesting course.

It would be the Miata. The Vette is setup for HPDE, not competitive racing.

I'm not sure yet...

I have to get in touch with John Sealock to see what his schedule is like.

So.... what's it looking like? Has anyone signed up yet? If so which dates?

The Mazda group is running VIR the weekend before and I can't do both events.

I can't go to VIR (Easter) and I'm not sure about Mid-Ohio. What days are people thinking about? Friday and Saturday? Saturday and Sunday? Friday, Saturday and Sunday? If I go I'm thinking Saturday and Sunday (HPDE3), driving down Friday afternoon (working a half day), and leaving Sunday late afternoon. I'll probably take that Monday off to recoup!

I havent signed up yet, been waiting to see what the consensus
is as I can only attend 3 maybe 4 events this year I want to
make them count.

Mazda group? I'd prefer to hit events I can get more NASA sign
offs for.

I've confirmed my registration for this event. I signed up for Fri-Sat. I'll drive up Thurs PM and back on Sun.

It is probably 6 or 7 hrs from here (WV), but it was 5 hrs to VIR. I had to stop to fix a flat last year, so I don't know how long it really takes. I discovered that the short cut thru Morgantown was not a short cut at all. I'll probably pick up the PA turnpike and just keep following I-70 to Columbus.

I registered for HPDE 2 last year. We had one classroom session, where they said "follow the concrete patches." Lots of track time, with the instructor signing me off by the last session.

I wanted to do Fri - Sat & Sun but I'm not sure.

So Andrej if you go for the Enduro, will you go just Sunday or Saturday also?

Since Dave is going for Friday and Saturday, and since Friday has an extra 30 minute open session, I think I'm going to sign up for HPDE3 (I'm too chicken to instruct on a course I've never driven!) Friday-Saturday, driving down Thursday afternoon and leaving Sunday morning. I'll probably sleep in the truck.

I'm thinking I might like to go up Friday and Saturday as well. I've never run this track, but it looks like fun. Especially if you, Ralph and Mike go.

At the time I was thinking about the enduro, I hadn't been accepted as an instructor with the Mazda group. Now that I'm instructing, I'll be at VIR the week before and don't want to be away two weeks in a row.

Looks like I'll be getting lots of practice a VIR this year, two schools and a MARRS double! And if Chin Motorsports is coming back in the fall, I'll instruct for them too!

Wahooo!

Mid Ohio is a great track, ya'll have a great time!

KOOL! I'm up for this. I saw that Xtra 30 minutes of open track time on Friday! [:D] Should be kind of interesting with everyone on the track at the same time.

If I can get the tent for the back of the truck I'll sleep at the track as well.

We'll miss you but I can understand doing the Mazda event. Lots of practice at VIR is a [B-)] thang! [:D]

So we are probably talking 7 - 8 hours with a pit stop for gas, dinner, etc. Leave at noon, beat the traffic and get in around 8:00-8:30. We'll need to contact the track or NASA OH/IN and find out how late the gates stay open if Ralph and I are planning on staying at the track.

OK, I'm registered for Friday & Saturday. The Thursday 12:00 departure sounds good to me. Is there somewhere we could meet up with Dave?

Black396

He'll be coming up 81. About the only place I can think of that wouldn't cause doubling back would maybe be Breezewood.
